Number: 309 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Brampton Requirements: Experience in food preparation or commercial kitchen settings (childcare/school preferred). Valid Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of food safety, public health regulations, and allergy/anaphylaxis protocols. Ability to prepare meals according to set menus and accommodate dietary restrictions. Strong organizational skills for inventory, deliveries, record keeping, and logs. Ability to maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen. Physically able to perform kitchen duties (standing, lifting, cleaning). Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and required immunizations Description: •Prepare all meals in accordance with all health regulations, and ensure food is properly cooked •Responsible for removal of food and collection of plates and utensils at each scheduled meal •Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils and put dishes away for all scheduled meals •Compile weekly inventories of food in preparation for the upcoming week •Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and storage area; take out garbage as required •Responsible for following the menu, provide food substitutions for children with sensitivities or dietary restrictions •Responsible for posting the menus, and substitutes if made during the day •Responsible for ensuring all Individual Anaphylaxis Plans (IAP) allergies and food restriction are posted in the kitchen, are up to date and accurate. All IAPs must be understood and strictly adhered to •Maintain health and safety records •Responsible for performing and recording water flushing •Receive all food and cleaning deliveries, ensure they are accurate in comparison to purchase orders •Perform and record all water flushing in the water flushing log •Follow all cleaning schedules as provided by Lullaboo •Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time Hours per week: Monday-Friday (7am - 4pm) 40 Rate of Pay: $18.50-$21.50/hr (dependent on experience)
