Work is performed in environments such as outdoor sites, heights, confined spaces, and areas that may be noisy or dusty. Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 5 years or more Work Environment At heights Confined spaces Noisy and dusty conditions Outdoors Various construction locations Responsibilities Tasks Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
