Number: 422 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Newmarket Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess strong forklift skills, Strong organizational skills, Effective communicator with staff as well as all levels of management, Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills, Thrives working in a very fast-paced environment, Flexible to changing needs of the department, Willingness to work to meet deadlines, Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times, Education/Certification/Experience, Forklift and bedmover experience (3 years) and certification (Must have valid forklift certificate), Previous manufacturing experience (asset), Schedule: Day shift - Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm Pay Range: $20-$23/hour Description: The Material Handler works on the production floor and warehouse of a busy manufacturing facility moving product and various materials to different areas. Major Areas of Responsibilities: Operate Forklift, bed movers (certification required), handcarts, and hydraulic jacks, Daily inspection of forklift and bed movers, Responsible for up-keep of forklift, Safe transport and storage of goods received, coils, boxes, etc., Weigh coil & accurate documentation, Packaging product, Stacking goods on skids, Distributing raw materials to production lines in a timely fashion, Inventory / cycle counts as required, Moving of all finished product to shipping areas, Depositing of metal scrap in appropriate bins – steel and aluminum, Proper stock rotation of all materials used for production.
