Requirements:
• Experience in fast food or donut shop setting.
• Someone who is flexible on working breakfast shifts (6am - 11am, might be extended at times due to additional duties), and sometimes evening shifts (4:30pm - 11pm).
• Schedule is based on our scheduling need. Will be scheduled for weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work at least 3 shifts a week.
• Must be able to perform cashier, server, cleaning of the restaurant area (mopping, vacuum, wiping tables...etc), restocking, inventory count, small food prep (food warmer), interact with customers, communicate with kitchen, prepare coffee and other beverages, might be required to wash dishes if needed.
• Carries a friendly, willing-to-do-all attitude
• Must be punctual
• If business is busy and require, this candidate will be assign at different shift times and other work assignment, such as banquet server, banquet set up and tear down.
• Rate: $17.60 per hour. After probation, $18.60 per hour.
Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
•
Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
•
Prepare food and beverages for service to hotel guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards.
•
Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
•
Perform side-work, and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that wait staff stations are clean and maintained throughout shift.
•
Alert Outlet Management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
•
May receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as needed.
•
Perform other duties as assigned. In carrying out your duties you will follow all Company and Brand Standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Previous simple restaurants (breakfast, diners, quick service) experience required, and it’s most suitable for the position. Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Basic reading and writing, and guest services skills.
• Ability to multi-tasks.
• Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, wait staff, cooks, and supervisor.
• Must be efficient and thorough.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Strong oral communication skills are required.
• Must be energetic, possess good time management skills and be eager to grow and develop as part of a team.
• Smart Serve Certificate and Food Handler Certificate as required by a local or provincial government agency.
• This job requires the ability to perform the following:
o Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
o Remain stationery for extended periods.
o Moving about the food outlet areas.
o Handling food objects; plates, trays, glasses, etc.
o Bending, stooping, kneeling.
o Most of the time is spent walking and being on your feet.
o This is a physically laborious role.
• Other:
o Communication skills are utilized, a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and waiting for staff, cooks, and supervisors.
o Reading, speaking, listening and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
o Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash, debit and credit transactions.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• May also be assigned to work other shifts within the Food & beverage department, including Breakfast Server, and Banquet Attendant.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Duties and Responsibilities
•
Follow safe work procedures as outlined in Departmental Policy and Procedures manuals, including the use of personal protective equipment.
•
Know and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations, as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour.
•
Report all injuries or illnesses to a supervisor or manager immediately.
•
Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee by bringing health and safety concerns or issues to the attention of the committee.
Hours per week:
6 am-11 am, 4:30 pm-11 pm
