Number: 465 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Newmarket Requirements: • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence • Valid G-class driver's licence • Clean driver's abstract • 1+ year of security experience • Minimum 6 months tactical experience in a similar environment (shelter, respite centre, drop-by, mobile patrols) • Minimum 6 months of mobile patrol experience • Strong written and oral communication skills • Excellent observation, reporting, and note-taking skills • Strong situational awareness and sound judgement • Ability to de-escalate professionally • Willingness to be on-call and respond to emergencies • Demonstrated reliability and strong attendance record • Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Security and Investigations, Criminology, Community and Justice Services, or Lawis considered an asset Description: We are hiring a part-time Tactical Mobile Guard to support shelter mobile patrol operations In Newmarket. This role is suited for a licensed security professional with mobile patrol experience, shelter or respite experience, strong situational awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to respond professionally to site concerns and emergencies. This role requires operating a company vehicle. LOCATION: Newmarket TYPE: Part-Time, WAGE: $18.00 per hour, SHIFT: Afternoons – 1400-0100 hours, SCHEDULE NOTE: Shifts may start earlier and/or finish later based on operational requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct mobile patrols of assigned areas. • Assist site staff with trespassers, site concerns, and emergency response. • Deter and report suspicious activity. • Conduct surveillance and take detailed notes of activity. • Remain in constant communication with dispatch and the Operations Supervisor. • Submit daily reports to the Operations team using FPS' reporting system. • Complete a vehicle inspection and submit a vehicle report each shift. • Clean and maintain the company vehicle each shift. • Report and escalate site issues to FPS Management and emergency services as required.
