This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires strong experience with both carpet and vinyl installation in an automotive or commercial environment. Unlike residential flooring, this work involves more labor-intensive installation conditions, tight spaces, and durability-focused materials used in transit vehicles. Key Responsibilities Remove and replace interior flooring in buses Install carpet and vinyl flooring to manufacturer and safety standards Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials accurately in confined vehicle interiors Prepare surfaces for installation (cleaning, leveling, adhesive application) Ensure high-quality finish and secure installation suitable for heavy use Work efficiently as part of a small, skilled team Follow safety procedures in a shop/vehicle maintenance environment Requirements Proven experience in flooring installation (carpet and vinyl required) Experience in automotive, transit, or commercial flooring is an asset Ability to perform physically demanding, labour-intensive work Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude What We’re Looking For We are specifically looking for individuals who already have hands-on flooring experience and can step into the role with minimal training.
