Position Summary

The Renovation Junior Foreman performs hands-on skilled work related to the installation, repair, servicing, and maintenance of residential and commercial swimming pool systems and equipment.

This position focuses on pool renovation, installation, and service work, including mechanical equipment, plumbing systems, and prefabricated pool components.

The successful candidate will work as part of a project team to complete assigned work orders while following company standards, safety procedures, and installation specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of pool systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to complete installation and repair tasks efficiently in residential and commercial environments.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
Typical schedule: 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
Daily reporting location in Stouffville
Reliable transportation required
Key Responsibilities
Pool Installation, Repair & Service
Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and installation specifications.
Measure and prepare areas for installation of pool systems and components.
Install, repair, and maintain swimming pool plumbing systems (above-ground and underground).
Install and replace vinyl liners and prefabricated pool components.
Install, service, and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and circulation systems.
Troubleshoot and repair pool mechanical and plumbing systems.
Perform leak detection and pressure testing of pool systems.
Complete seasonal pool openings and closings.
Perform cleaning, acid washing, and surface preparation of pool interiors and tile surfaces.
Assist with repairs to pool structural components as required.
Tools & Equipment Operation
Safely operate hand and power tools used in pool installation and servicing, including:
Chipping tools
Grinders and cutting tools
Pressure washers
Pumps and testing equipment
Operate company vehicles to transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
Complete routine inspections and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
Work Execution
Complete assigned installation and service tasks according to work orders.
Work collaboratively with a crew to complete project requirements.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
Follow established installation procedures and safety practices on job sites.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in swimming pool installation, repair, renovation, or servicing.
Strong knowledge of swimming pool plumbing systems and mechanical equipment.
Experience with both vinyl-lined and concrete swimming pools.
Ability to safely and effectively use installation and repair tools.
Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence with clean abstract.
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
Ability to work outdoors and in confined pool environments.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry tools and materials.
Comfortable working in outdoor and seasonal weather conditions.
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined pool areas.
Ability to perform physically demanding installation and repair tasks.

CSA-approved safety boots
