Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Independent Contractor Pool Service Technicians to provide professional pool and spa repair services for residential customers.
Contractors are responsible for managing assigned service calls, completing diagnostics and repairs, recommending system improvements, and delivering high-quality customer service while representing the company professionally.
This is a contract-based opportunity. Contractors operate independently and are responsible for managing their own tools, equipment, vehicle, insurance, and compliance requirements while meeting agreed-upon service timelines and project expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Project Execution
Independently assess, plan, and complete pool and spa repair service calls.
Diagnose equipment and system issues and recommend effective solutions.
Estimate material and labour requirements for assigned work.
Determine appropriate repair methods and timelines.
Complete installations and repairs according to quality standards and applicable codes.
Travel to job sites throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.
Inventory & Materials Management
Request required materials in advance of scheduled service calls.
Maintain accurate records of materials used.
Submit required documentation through company systems.
Maintain an organized and properly stocked service vehicle inventory.
Customer Service & Communication
Communicate professionally with customers regarding service findings, repair scope, and recommendations.
Explain system performance and provide preventative maintenance recommendations.
Represent the company professionally while delivering service.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in pool and spa repair.
In-ground pool experience preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of pool equipment, plumbing systems, and basic electrical standards.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and equipment-related issues.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Valid Driver’s Licence with clean abstract.
High level of organization, reliability, and professionalism.
Contractor Requirements
Maintain required licenses, certifications, and commercial insurance applicable to independent contractors.
Supply own tools, equipment, service vehicle, and required PPE.
Follow all applicable health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Arrangement
Independent contractor engagement (not an employment relationship).
Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and statutory remittances.
Service assignments will be provided based on agreed schedules and project requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal contractor is experienced, reliable, and customer-focused, with strong technical knowledge of pool systems and the ability to complete high-quality repairs independently while providing excellent customer service.
