Number: 894 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Markham Requirements: Basic Requirements: • Ability to use and operate tools and equipment including: • Measuring instruments such as gram scales to weigh resins • Hand & Orbital Sanders • Grinders, cutters, drills, and fasteners to remove or join materials • Rulers, squares, forms and templates to measure materials and trim lines • Scissors, shears, knives and power saws to cut and trim materials • Rivet guns, drills, files, squeegees, and rollers to accomplish fabrication and final installation • Plan and accomplish the repair/manufacture of laminated items with complicated and varied shapes • Interpret and apply directions relating to the mixture, ratios, uses, cure times, temperatures, and pressures of composite materials, resins, solvents, and mold release agents • Determine dimensions and sizes in drawings and blueprints to make templates used in making, cutting, and trimming final products • Excellent problem-solving skills • Basic knowledge of industry standard Windows applications. If you’re motivated, curious, and ready to learn — this is where you want to be. Key Responsibilities You’ll be hands-on from day one, all training is provided inhouse. You will be: Learning how to laminate and vacuum bag carbon fiber and other composite materials for curing in an autoclave Working with autoclaves and ovens to cure Composite Materials Getting hands-on experience in the building and assembly of composite components and substructures Cutting, trimming, bonding, and finishing composite parts to precise specifications Gaining knowledge in how to interpret lamination and assembly manuals Growing your abilities in helping create master molds and patterns Maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail Collaborating closely with supervisors, leads, and QA to meet project timelines and quality expectations Keeping your work area safe, clean, and organized Participating in continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen, GEAR and ISO-based processes Benefits:Performance Based Wage Review after 3-month Probation Period Extended Health, Dental and Vision Care Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance Employee Assistance Program Life Insurance RRSP and DPSP Match Paid Time Off Two paid Days Clothing Program Summer Programs (We have Soccer and Baseball teams!)
