Job Title: Security Guard (2 Month Contract)   Date Posted: 08/13/26 Ref. Number: 300 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Kitchener Requirements: No Previous Security Experience is Required. First Aid & CPR required. Would have to be comfortable travelling to Waterloo for shifts. This position is a 2-month contract, after which they can be considered for other opportunities. Mandatory availability on September 26, 2026, is required for this role. Description: Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits. Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally. Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Enforce Hospital Policies: Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed.
