Job Title: Maintenance Worker   Date Posted: 09/08/26 Ref. Number: 806 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Toronto Requirements: Responsibilities: • Performs assigned day-to-day preventive maintenance and on-demand requests. • Completes appropriate maintenance records in an accurate and timely manner. • Performs required fire protection inspections and testing. • Performs required emergency generator inspections and testing. • Performs basic repairs of buildings and installed systems. • Assists with maintaining and controlling building climate system which may require logging onto BAS outside normal working hours. • Assists with maintaining lighting systems throughout the facility. • Able to use electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems. • Performs manual labor tasks when needed. • Understands and follows manuals, and reads and interprets circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. • Able to respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed with the ability to know when to escalate. • Meets with contractors to allow access and monitors work to ensure terms and conditions are met. • Observes and adheres to health & safety rules by following proper LOTO, PPE, ergonomics and working at heights. • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety Qualifications: • Basic working knowledge of one or several skills, such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or general repair. • Entry level proficiency with power tools • Basic computer skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to problem solve Job Requirements: • Available outside normal working hours to handle urgent problems / rotating on-call weekly schedule • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including stooping, standing, walking, bending and squatting Description: Location is in Down Town Toronto Hours per week: Available outside normal working hours to handle urgent problems / rotating on-call weekly schedule 40 Rate of Pay: $50-60K a year
