Number: 711 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Stouffville Requirements: Technical Support Engineer • Location: Stouffville, Ontario • Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year • Experience: 3–5 years in technical support, field service, instrumentation, or hands-on product engineering • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline • Travel: Approximately 25%, including occasional domestic and international travel Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot sensors, electronics, embedded systems, communications, and software-related issues. • Investigate equipment failures and identify root causes. • Provide remote and on-site technical support, commissioning, and customer training. • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and production teams to improve product reliability. • Develop troubleshooting guides and diagnostic procedures. Key Qualifications: • Strong hands-on electronics troubleshooting skills, including PCBs, sensors, and integrated systems. • Knowledge of communications protocols such as Modbus, RS-485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and cellular. • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. • Valid passport and willingness to travel. Experience with air quality monitoring, gas detection, environmental instrumentation, embedded development, and IoT systems would be an asset.
