Number: 454 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Pefferlaw Requirements: • Valid full G driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract is required. • Reliable transportation to report to the company shop near Pefferlaw each morning. • WHMIS training is required. • Interest in construction and willingness to learn concrete forming and foundation work. • Physically capable of performing demanding labour, including regularly lifting and carrying materials weighing more than 20 lbs. • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold, rain, and heat. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to follow instructions. • Ability to work safely around construction equipment, tools, and materials. • Previous construction or concrete forming experience is an asset. Candidates must provide: • CSA-approved safety work boots. • Tool pouch. • Tape measure. • Good-quality hammer. • Appropriate clothing for outdoor construction work. • Packed lunch and sufficient drinking water each day. Warm jackets, rain gear, and rubber boots are strongly recommended, particularly during colder and wetter weather. Company T-shirts and sweatshirts are provided. Description: We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and physically capable Construction Labourer to join our concrete forming and foundation crew. Our company specializes in concrete forming for custom home basements, as well as house raising projects to accommodate new or expanded basements. The successful candidate will have an interest in construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions. Employees are required to report to our shop near Pefferlaw each morning, where they will join the crew and travel to job sites in company work vans. • Assist with concrete forming and foundation construction for custom residential homes. • Help with the setup, assembly, and dismantling of concrete forms. • Assist with house raising and basement construction projects as directed. • Load, unload, lift, carry, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment. • Use basic hand tools, including hammers and measuring tapes. • Measure, organize, and prepare materials for construction activities. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite. • Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members. • Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures. • Perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Assist with other general construction duties as required.
