Number: 710 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Stouffville Requirements: GENERAL LABOURER / PRODUCTION WORKER Location: Shop Facility Employment Type: Full-Time Wage: $27.00–$29.00 per hour Department: Plant Operations & Shop Reports To: Production Supervisor Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer / Production Worker to join our client's plant operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating shop machinery, handling steel and rebar materials, preparing customer orders, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on position in an industrial shop environment, ideal for someone with manufacturing, construction, warehouse, or machine operating experience. Key Responsibilities Operate cutting saws, rebar benders, shears, and other production machinery. Retrieve, move, load, and unload steel and rebar materials from warehouse storage areas. Feed materials into processing equipment and prepare orders for customer delivery. Use a tape measure to verify material lengths and measurements. Follow job specifications and ensure products meet quality requirements. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Report equipment issues and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor. Qualifications & Requirements 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, steel fabrication, construction, or a similar industrial environment preferred. Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes is a strong asset. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and fractions. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently. Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment with changing seasonal temperatures. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Must wear CSA-approved safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Compensation $27.00–$29.00 per hour Full-time opportunity.
