Requirements:       Minimum 5 years warehouse supervisory experience in a technical and/or distribution environment, ideally in the Plumbing/HVAC, wholesale parts, distribution, warehouse or logistics industry Post-secondary education preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related program; or equivalent experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management systems, and database systems Knowledge and experience with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and workplace health and safety in general Thorough knowledge of warehouse equipment Strong leadership skills combined with effective people management abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management Strong organization skills with the ability to coordinate a wide variety of duties and responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment Demonstrated ability to embrace and lead change, and Positive attitude and customer focused
Description: Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will supervise the employees in the shipping, replenishment and returns areas ensuring fulfillment of all branch transfers and customer orders; quality of product to its customers and branches; safety policies and procedures are adhered; and maintain housekeeping standards. This is an evening shift position. Ensures the daily workload is distributed, sets priorities and expectations to achieve completion. Present the Daily Management KPI’s, allowing the team to identify improvement opportunities. Utilize the Business Intelligence System for data collection and reporting. Look for root cause of errors and recommend process enhancements to eliminate. Ensure safety of personnel, product and equipment as per company policy and procedures. Report any violations to the Distribution Manager or Health & Safety Committee. Makes sure all equipment is in good condition and properly maintained. Make any recommendations for maintenance or repair to the Distribution Manager. Address, document and bring to the attention of the Distribution Manager in a prompt manner issues relating to warehouse employees and policies. Coordinate the training process of new employees and complete the training program from orientation to ensure all employees have what is required to complete their assigned tasks. Be flexible to supervise other areas in the event of vacations/ absenteeism.
Hours per week: 3:30 pm till 12:30 am 40 Hours a week
