Requirements:       1-3 years of general accounting experience. Undergraduate degree with a major in accounting or equivalent work experience. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially Excel. Ability to work in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative. Experience using Accpac accounting software would be considered an asset. Data entry accuracy. Meet weekly, monthly and annual deadlines. Detail oriented Strong communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Description: Review and enter AR receipts and assist with monitoring delinquent accounts. Review and enter AP supplier invoices and assist with preparing cheques for signature. Evaluate processes and recommend best practices. Prepare month end journal entries and accruals. HST Return preparation and submission. Generate transaction reports from EZ Care, extrapolate data in Excel and prepare journal entries based on correct revenue and refundable deposit categories. Perform bank, revenue, subsidy, and GL account reconciliation. Analysis of General Ledger accounts for multiple divisions and compare to budget. Prepare schedules for capital, revenue, expenses, amortization etc. for annual audit/review. Finalize changes and assist with upload budget into Accpac
Hours per week: Monday - Friday ( 40 )
