Requirements:       Requirements and Qualifications: 3 years of equivalent experience in a similar role or setting. Meet and understand OHSA requirements, being safety conscious (PPE, reporting all incidents, machine guarding). Must have the ability to complete production documentation accurately and completely, in a timely manner (IPIR report).Education-OSSD-Grade 12 equivalent. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written). Good eye and hand coordination, and mobility (must be able to bend, lift 30 to 50 lbs, good arm extension required). Must recognize importance of and perform quality control dispensation.
Description: We are seeking for a Press Set Up Operator to become part of our team!. In this role you would setup and operate our punch press machine, and ensure that top quality products are being produced, within a timely manner. Job responsibilities: Work with all die protection sensors and operating switches. Check tonnage and lead setting during set up. Ensure all reporting is as per the instructions provided on the In process Control Plan. Inspect all designated parts continually as instructed. Follow and update press set up sheets (corrections in conjunction with the supervisor). Prepare the press for the die by ensuring the working area is clean and all unnecessary items are removed. Ensure the die is properly placed on the machine. Adjust lead setting. Follow First-off and Last-off procedures by taking the first and last parts off the press to Quality Assurance for inspection/approval. Supply Last-off progressive strip and two Last-off parts on tool when finished production run. Clean up die with air blower at end of each coil. Ensure all parts are identified correctly and information on labels is correct and legible. Assist with coil changes. Benefits: Extended Health and Dental Benefits after 3 months of employment. Rate of Pay: $18.00/hr to start(*Plus shift premium)
