Description: Manage the company’s material supply portfolio, ensuring transparency of spending Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies Create consistency in sourcing process New supplier development Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency and minimize risk spending, partnered with trustworthy vendors and suppliers Lead the team to determine quantities and timing of deliveries Manages inventory levels of raw, distribution and packaging materials, including placing purchases orders to maintain ideal stock levels Manage new product launches with Management directions to ensure that all raw materials and packaging are available for launch and production Analyze sales history and advice sheets on finished goods to ensure that raw material levels are maintained Maintaining and updating inventory data system which includes assigning new product codes, entering recipes and new raw material codes Works closely with all departments to implement and/or update data system and ensures that all data is accurate and kept up to date Works with Quality Assurance to ensure that HACCP/SQF requirements are met in relation to department i.e. raw material and finished goods recalls, purchasing of ingredients from approved suppliers and ensuring that suppliers meet all criteria for HACCP/SQF compliance Acts as backup for other purchasing and production roles Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers Develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids Control purchasing department budgets Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. Administer online purchasing systems. Maintain records of goods ordered and received. Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
