Requirements:       Education • University or college education in computer programming. Experience: • Minimum of 2 years of strong programming and analysis experience in a business environment with C#, ASP .NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC and JavaScript. • Experience and knowledge of Knockout JS, Angular JS, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap. • A solid understanding of creating object oriented applications a must • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server including Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views and T-SQL. • Experience with iterative development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) • Experience with Visual Studio (2015 or above preferred) • Excellent knowledge of XML, AJAX, JSON, and HTML/DHTML. • Experience in building .NET Web Services and WCF Services preferred • Experience using Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) preferred. Skills: • Must be proactive and possess strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, and organizational skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to understand and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Must be self-motivated. • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and manage available resources accordingly in a fast paced environment. • Excellent team player with a solid work ethic and a positive attitude. • SQL Server Reporting Services would be considered an asset.
Description: The Software Solutions Online and Digital Team has an opportunity for the position of Programmer Analyst, Online & Digital Systems Development,reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Online & Digital Systems Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing programming, analysis and coordination efforts for software development, maintenance and enhancement of our online and digital applications.Assist Manager with coordination of software development priorities • Review priorities with the Manager; • Estimate timing of jobs; • Review code with Manager to ensure quality. Analyze business situations to create the programming solution • Review and understand the business environment that you are providing solutions for; • Translate business requirements into technical specifications; • Utilize the resources of the Process Improvement Analyst to understand a process if required; • Thoroughly understand all .NET applications within the Corporation to ensure proposed solutions fit into the total environment in the most efficient manner; • Propose solution to the Manager, including appropriate development environment; • Review proposals with the Manager and users and obtain approval to approach and project plan. Work with Project Leader to establish project schedule for migration between systems • Work with Project Leader to establish priorities as they relate to the IT area; • Ensure tasks assigned are reasonable and deadlines are met; • Ensure sufficient detail is contained on the project plan in order to avoid problems; • Create migration tools which can be used as various systems are migrated; • Test code and work with users to consistently review; • Properly manage code through available tools; • Manage development, test and production environments properly; Assist with development in other areas as required • Receive direction on development work from the Manager; • Test code to ensure reliable functionality; • Manage code properly though available tools; • Manage development, test and production environments properly; • Pay careful attention to timing issues; Continue to enhance and develop Corporate Systems • Review user requirements and enhance systems to meet needs
